You cannot download audiobooks or e-books from the Maryland Digital eLibrary or RBDigital to the library's computers and then transfer them to your own portable device. The digital rights management (DRM) on the downloadable titles, which protects the copyright holders' interests, will not allow multiple titles to be downloaded to a library workstation and then copied on to lots of different devices.
However, if you have installed the Overdrive Media Console app or the RBDigital app on your device, you can use the library's wireless to download titles.
And, if you have a Kindle, you can use the library's Internet computers to check out a title from the Maryland Digital eLibrary. You could then go to the Amazon website to request the download, and then use the library's wireless to download the title to the Kindle.
