You can use your library card from another public library in Maryland at MCPL, but you will have to register the number by coming in to one of our branches with a photo ID and proof of address. 

Alternatively, we could issue you an MCPL card when you present photo ID and proof of address, because residents of Maryland and the District of Columbia as well as Alexandria, Arlington County, Fairfax County, Falls Church, Loudoun County, and Prince William County are eligible for MCPL cards.
