The default PIN for your library account is the 4 digits of your birth year (for example: 1973). You can change your PIN in the My Account section of the Library Catalog. My Account is located at the very top of the Library Catalog screen.
If you can't remember your PIN and you have an email address associated with your account, you may use the Forgot my pin link to reset your pin.
If you do not have an email associated with your account, please call Ask-a-Librarian at 240-777-0001. We cannot see your PIN, but we should be able to reset it for you. A staff member at any of our libraries can also reset your PIN. We cannot, however, reset PINs by email or by chat.
Once you have gained access to your account, you may customize your PIN for added security.
