How can I cancel a hold request?
You can cancel holds from the My Account link on the library's homepage or catalog. After you have entered your card number and its associated PIN, click on Review Your Account. You will see your holds and their status underneath your checked out items as well as a checkbox for cancelling holds.
Beginning June 6, 2011, if you do not pick up available holds within 10 days, you will be charged $1 for each hold not picked up. However, if you cancel the hold, you will not be charged. You may cancel the hold even after you have received notification of its availability to avoid the $1 charge. To cancel holds, please go to Review Account under My Account or call Ask-a-Librarian at 240-777-0001.
