How can I find the form for assigning Power of Attorney in Maryland?
See links to the forms, which are called the Maryland Statutory Form Limited Power of Attorney and the less comprehensive Personal Financial Power of Attorney Form.
The source of these forms is a Power of Attorney Act passed by the Maryland State Legislature in 2010. The act provided these two new statutory forms to make it easier for people to grant powers to other to act for them in financial and other matters. The law, titled the Maryland General and Limited Power of Attorney Act, is in MD Code Estates & Trusts, Title 17. (Sections 17-202 and 17-203 of that volume contain the text of the forms as well.)
